REMINDER: 7-12 BAND We will be providing music for the Memorial Day services in Orchard and Royal. If you need a ride to the Cemetery please meet at Summerland at 9:30. If you do not need a ride, please meet us at the cemetery west of Orchard on HWY 20 at 9:50. The ceremony will start at 10:00 in Orchard and 10:30 in Royal. Dress appropriately for the weather!
Michael shot an 81 today in the rain shortened Class C state golf meet. It will be a top 30 finish with 96 golfers playing today. Way to represent Summerland!!
Sports/Dance Parents and Participants
All 6th Grade, 8th Grade and 10th Graders (2023-2024 Grades) were given the Impact Test before they left school. They do not have to take it again for 2 years! When they go in to get their Physical, please let the Dr. and Nurses know that you have taken it! Just a reminder: ALL students that participate in Sports/Dance in 2024-2025, MUST have a physical (every year)and updated Impact Test (every 2 years) before they will be allowed to participate. All 6th Graders were sent home with a Physical and NSAA Sheet! The link is below! You can drop off Physical Forms at School as soon as you get it completed if you want to!

Plant science students are doing the emergence flagging test again in the chapter test plot by the school. They placed different colored flags in two rows by the plants that emerged on day 1, day 2, day 3, and day 4. In the fall they will go back and check the yield of a plant on each separate day of emergence. They even had a little helper who showed up every morning this week!
