Elementary Parents/Guardians: To ensure the safety of our students and staff, all parents and visitors who come to Summerland Elementary should enter through the main doors by the office entrance, not the elementary doors. The only time the elementary doors should be used for entrance is for the afternoon preschoolers. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
7th grade Ag students got to make butter today in mason jars to end the dairy unit!
Several FFA members held a farm safety day in the elementary this morning! They talked to the kids about grain bin safety and the importance of being safe on the farm! With harvest in full swing, it's always important to talk about farm safety, especially with children. We wish all the producers a safe and bountiful harvest!

A Cross Country date change!! The District meet has been changed to Wednesday (Oct 11) at 2:00 starting with girls first! It will still be at the Ainsworth Golf Course!

Students in natural resources are in their water quality unit. They are sampling water from the Elkhorn River to determine its water quality index rating. They have done temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and biochemical oxygen demand. Next week they will do total solids, turbidity, and nitrate tests!
