The Lady Bobcat Varsity Volleyball Team will be in Madison today!! Their first game will begin at 10:00. Games will run one right after the other! They will be livestreaming in the North Gym ONLY!

"Grab and Go" Breakfast with Grandparents is quickly approaching! Forms were sent home this week! Please fill them out and send 1 back per family! If you could write your kids names on the forms, that would be great!! That helps us let teachers know the form is here but in a different room! Please know that when kids sign up for this, they DO NOT have the option that is listed on the calendar for Breakfast. They will get what the cooks are serving for the "Grab and Go" Breakfast!
It is Oct 12th for Morning Preschool and Grades K-6 starting at 7:45 in the Commons Area! The Afternoon PreSchool Class will have "Grab and Go" Goodies with Grandparents or Special Person starting at 12:15 in the PreK Room!
The deadline to get your forms in is Sept 29th. That will give the Kitchen Staff enough time to get orders in! If your form comes after that date, you are more than welcome to come, but know that there might not be enough food for you to eat!

The 8th grade FCS class teamed up with kindergarteners for a project! Kindergarteners drew a monster, and the FCS class is going to turn their monster drawing into a felt monster!

At the Booster Club Meeting Wednesday night, it was decided to start Bobcat Booster Club Scholarships!! How exciting is that! All requirements that were decided on are put into place for the 2022-2023 school year! Here are the requirements for a max of $500 per applicant that meets ALL the requirements:
*Students MUST maintain a GPA of 2.5 throughout their High School Years.
*Parents MUST be paid Booster Club Members every year their child attends Summerland Public School.
*Students MUST participate in at least 1 Sport every year they are at Summerland Public School AND finish the Sport in good standing.
*Students MUST be in good standing with Summerland Public School.
*Students MUST fill out the Application provided which will include an essay.
*Students MUST get the Application into the High School Counselor by the deadline date. Anything after the date will be void.
If students have met all the requirements, they will receive the Scholarship Money after their first semester of college. Proof of transcript must be provided.
The Booster Club also decided that if anyone is asking the Booster Club for Donations, they MUST attend a Meeting and bring an estimate of what they are asking for. The Booster Club will then make the determination as to whether they will pay for all, some or can give suggestions as to how to raise money to get what is being asked for. PLEASE do not ask members individually. Please plan ahead when possible!
The Booster Club will have a Post Regular Season - Hype you up for Districts Meal on Oct. 11th for the Cross Country, Volleyball and Football Teams! Parents are invited to come and help PUMP UP THE ATHLETES!
We also talked about the possibility of having a Burger Bash for the Track Meet that will be held at Summerland!
The Youth Booster Club Volleyball Tournament will be held on Oct 8th! More details will be coming. We are needing help from ALL Sports teams! The VB Team is helping with ref’n, lines and clock. We are needing Teams to help with Concession Stand and Taking Gate!
Lastly, we would like to thank all of those that have become Booster Club Members with your paid Donations. This is a way for us to not have to fundraise all the time! If you are not a member, there is still time! We also REALLY APPRECIATE people showing up to Booster Club Meeting! Your feedback is awesome!

Kindergarteners learned about Constitution Day today! They signed a kindergarten constitution and made hats!
Please mark your calendars. The JrH Football Team will be traveling to Hartington to take on Hartington/Newcastle on Monday, Sept 26th for a 4:00 Game! As of now, there will be NO JV Football Game that night.
