Dear Parents/Guardians:
On Wednesday afternoon, Summerland Public School will perform a lockdown drill. Law enforcement officials from Antelope, Holt, and the Nebraska State Patrol will be involved in the drill. Officers will go around the building checking for students/staff. Once the officers have gone through the elementary, the teachers and students will go about their day within their classrooms. The officers will go through the junior high/high school area and escort the rooms to the main gym. Once all secondary students are in the gym, the elementary students will join them, and a debriefing will take place before returning to class. Please feel free to speak with your children before and after this drill.

Parents--Please help your children remember to bring back their library books. 📚

This week's Keep the Quote is 3rd grader, Elijah Baker.
Elijah always tries to help anyone around him that is struggling to see the positive. When a classmate is sad because of something that has happened, or is struggling in some way, he offers them one of his fidgets to help calm them down. He also lets the teacher know when someone is not feeling their best or is having trouble with something. We definitely need the kindness and love that Elijah shares with others.
