This week's Keep the Quote winner is 3rd grader, Ruth Boettcher! Ruth is always kind and trying to help others around her by making their life better. She just does this on her own and genuinely cares about others' feelings. She encourages people that are having a bad day or are struggling with a situation by staying positive and reassuring. She doesn't ever try to make someone else feel bad about something. Ruth's attitude and kindness put a smile on everyone's faces around her!

TIME CHANGE FOR TODAY! Its HS Track Meet Day! The High School Track Team is headed to Hartington for an Invite! The Meet will start at 2:00 (Field Events) and 3:30 (Running Events) due to impending weather!
It's JrH Track Meet Day! They are headed to O'Neill for an Invite that starts at 12:00!
It's HS Golf Invite Day today! The High School Varsity Golfers are headed to Crofton to Lakeview Golf Course for a 10:00 start!

Fun day at Summerland Elementary! Omaha author/illustrator Bruce Arant visited our school. Students in Kindergarten--6th grade attended a presentation about Arant's books and used their imaginations to dream up a new creature. Arant walked the students through the process of writing and illustrating his books. Students in grades 3rd-6th also participated in a Writers Workshop and an Illustration Workshop.
Parents--if you ordered a book for your child, they will be sent home on Monday. We were having so much fun today that we ran out of time. 😃

The O'Neill JrH Track Meet is officially making the move to Monday, 4/15/24 due to projected weather on Tuesday! Start times will remain the same, field events at noon & running events at 1:00pm.
