Congratulations to Parker Napier for being a finalist in the Turf and Landscape Management Proficiency Award Area for FFA! He will now get to complete an in-person interview at State Convention for a chance to be state champion!

In addition to our author visit tomorrow with Jefferson Knapp, Summerland Elementary students will also get the opportunity to do a Virtual Author Visit with Judy Young. Classes will attend Zoom sessions with the author, along with students from all across the country. This will happen throughout the day on Tuesday, March 4th. Autographed books will be available to purchase on Judy Young's website for those who would like to order. All orders must be placed online--please do not send money to school. Information will come home with students this week.

Sub-District action will conclude tonight @ Summerland. Summerland vs Elkhorn Valley will have a tip off at 6:00!
Just a reminder: ONLY NSAA Media Passes will be accepted! $6.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. The use of artificial noisemakers is prohibited. (Examples: air horns, whistles, bells, balloons, Thunder Stix, etc.) Megaphones are to be used by cheerleaders only. Band instruments, including drums, are not to be played at any time other than when the entire band is playing. Bands should not be permitted to play except prior to the game, at intermissions and time-outs. Due to the fact that balloons have become a distraction and are being abused as noise makers, balloons will not be allowed at NSAA sub-district, district, and state championships in basketball. Teams/Fans shall not throw items into the crowd. (e.g.: sports balls, candy, etc.)
